The employees who have retired on or after 1st October 15 and those who are retiring up to 30th September 16 are covered under the existing Medical Insurance Policy for bank (serving) employees & their dependent family members till 30.09.2016. So they need to insure themselves and their spouse to be covered under Retiree Medical Insurance Policy w.e.f. 01.10.2016.
The regular term of the Retiree Medical Insurance Policy starts from 01.11.2016 to 31.10.2017. So initially for joining the Medical Insurance Policy, they have to pay one month proportionate premium for the period 01.10.2016 to 31.10.2016 and thereafter they have to pay full annual premium. For this the said groups of retired/ to be retired employees have to fill the option form and forward to HRD, HO, Mumbai before 10.09.2016. Please ensure that eligible retirees / spouse of deceased employees should maintain sufficient balance in their pension/saving account for successful debiting the premium amount as on 15.09.2016/16.09.2016.
Since some of the employees with in this category have joined the Retiree Medical Insurance Policy on 29.03.2016 and covered till October 16, hence they need not pay the premium for 1 month. The annual repayment of premium of such retirees will be from 01.11.2016 to 31.10.2017
